I have nothing against engagement farming but when every other post on LinkedIn is this monstrosity sprinkled with emojis and em dashes, it reeks of no character and life. Who is even reading these walls of text when generating text is not metered anymore? Why would somebody go on to read your four hundred character LinkedIn post that speaks about everything and nothing at the same time?
So how do you survive that? How do you still stay true and authentic? How do you reflect your thoughts in your writing? Well for one, you deliberately don’t outsource the intelligence that is needed to form a coherent thought. It does not have to be walls of text that is marketed at engagement. What it has to be is a compelling story. What makes a compelling story? For me, the compelling story begins from curiosity. So if you want to stand out in this dead internet, you have to start journaling your curiosity first.
